Mission-driven hiring asks a different question
Purpose attracts people. Clarity keeps them.

Commercial recruiting language transfers poorly to mission work. People don't join because they were persuaded; they join because the work matched something they already cared about and the role was described honestly.
That makes clarity the priority: what the organization does, who it serves, and exactly what this person will own — including the parts that are difficult.
Respectful process matters more here than anywhere. A poor candidate experience costs more than a missed hire; it costs goodwill in a small community of people who talk to each other.
